I think they should move Archon back to Henry VIII. Pending them tearing out the new unused runways and rebuilding the place of course.

Well, one thing I admit was that people seemed to deliberately ruin the men's room in the hotel every saturday night, and even I got sick of it.

If those little scumbags had anything to do with this, I hope they're satisfied with themselves.

They did mention something about working something out with one of the other hotels.. But I don't know what that means..

I know the super8 has like a open lobby level.. but who knows how or if that would work out.

The Archon 33 website has been updated with what information I have and is online now. I don't have the registration online yet because I'm configuring a shopping cart on the system to take the memberships. The mailing will be going out at the end of February. I'll try to keep the site as updated as possible, as I have information coming in. The hope is that over the next month the space in the GC is going to be allocated so that not one department takes the brunt of the loss, there is only so much space though. Well... until they get started on building the next addition to the GC. :)

Isn't there a convention center in st. charles? Anyone know anything about it? I've never seen it but have heard it advertised in commercials.

Jon and I have looked at that convention center as well for Diecon.... It is considerably more expensive than the one in Collinsville.

The hotel that is attached to the St. Charles Convention Center is an Embassy Suites, and their normal rack rates are about $150 a night for a regular room. At least that was what they were charging a couple of years ago. At least, they did get rid of the pay parking lot. I'm not sure about the size of space, if they are comparable or not.

Actually, my sister-in-law runs the accounting department at the St. Chas Con Cntr. And my brother works there, too. I could alwasy introduce the Archon powers that be to them. Then again, I kind of enjoy having Archon close to home.

I only attended Archon at Henry VIII once, and Collinsville is a lot better. The elevators at the hotel may be slow but at least they don't stop before reaching the floor completly and you have to crawl out.

Could be anywhere within an hour's drive as far as I'm concerned, I always grab a hotel room. But Ming Ming is on the fence for this year!

I'm just bummed because had I known about these changes at the time I would not have pre-registered.

Come on, guys! Archon has survived things before! We've moved from several hotels, we've survived being unfairly kicked out of the henry the 8th, archon will make it thru this even if we have to move again.

Archon's made up of fhans and gamers. You know, people with 3 digit I.Q.s along with resourcefulness and drive. It'll make it, so stop acting like it's dead or dying.

I agree... I am not ready to throw Archon to the Wolves.. It should be fun in any case.. I had a good time at NASFIG. We made it fun and whatever happens.. Atomic Squash will continue to support Archon gaming and the fun that is to be had there.

It is what it'll be. It'll be up to us to find a way to make it fun. Werewolves of Miller's Hollow in the lobby of random hotels anybody?

Perhaps with the Werewolves expansion pack and a bunch of empty tables we could put together a 100+ player game.. something that we couldn't have imagined at the hotel.
