Archon 33 Gaming

Okay Everyone,

Archon 33 is approaching  really fast with the next game submission deadline of Aug 1 :) approaching even quicker.

Important Dates:
 Game Submission deadlines: Aug 1, Aug 15 and all games must be submitted by Sept 2, 2009.

Thank you :D if you have sent in your events for Archon 33.

If you are planning on running any scheduled game events at this year's Archon then I need the info asap. :)

As we all know, or should know by now is Archon 33 will take place 100% in Gateway Center. We do not have any extra space :( and I am busy defending our traditional gaming space. So I need your events to make sure our room is filled with gaming activities throughout the weekend. Having a full room  will play a great part in event space allocation for Archon 34.

:!: Game session times for this year are very different from past years.
I have tried to make sure there is a least 30 minutes between each session except for the late night sessions(3 & 7). :D
Since we are all in the same building and room Sessions 3 & 7 begin at the same time the previous session ends.

Sessions
 Ses  Time
Friday  0:  9:00a - 1:00p(Set up and open gaming.)
 1:  2:00p - 6:00p(1st scheduled game session with tickets)
 2:  7:00p-11:00p
 3:  11:00p - 2:30a (Everyone must be out of the convention center by 3am)
Saturday  4:  10:30a - 2:30p (Convention center does not open until 10am. We get to sleep in.)
 5:  3:00p - 7:00p
 6:  7:30p-11:30p
 7:  11:30p - 2:30a (Everyone must be out of the convention center by 3am)
Sunday  8:  10:30a - 5:00p (Convention center does not open until 10am. We get to sleep in.)

At this time all current RPG tables for Session 2 & 5 have been assigned. :)

When you submit your event be sure to include 1st and 2nd choice for sessions.

Let me know if there are any questions. :?:

See you at Archon.

Affirmative..

I have told jon we should be able to run 2 board games per session.. give or take. Depending on what we run.

I am assuming we will do Circus Imperium on Friday Night again.

Keep in mind that if there is space, we can run 2 games of Imperium since we have extra copies now.

Ok I am going to run some games for archon. Let me know what you want to run and I will schedule it. I don't believe there is a discount for running games at this convention.

Games I have planned

Werewolf of Millers Hollow on Saturday Night
Circus Imperium on Friday Night.

I will fill in other games based on what if any games other are willing to run.

THanks

Since there is no discount, I hardly feel compelled to run many games. That said, I am still willing to run Caylus. I may even run two games if Mike lends me his copy. The problem I have is that my kids' soccer games are no longer at a set time. So I can't promise a Saturday afternoon game yet. And I don't want to conflict with your two games, Jason, especially since I am willing to run a 2nd Circus Imperium game concurrently with yours. Let me know when I have to decide on the time slot?

I'm willing to run a board game or two as well. I can run Stone Age, Settlers, Carcassonnes or Apples to Apples.

Jason,
Sadly, I will NOT be running any games for Archon. I know we are well past the "deadline" for running games, but still, I wanted to make it official since we had talked about it. My wife's medical treatment schedule is not set in stone yet and will likely not allow me the time I need to prepare. Plus, I would hate to sign up for a game only to back out at the last minute. SO, I will do my best to be there as a participant. Save me a seat for werewolf right? :)

How about some folks sign up for "The Things you try to leave behind" this year?
